Majed Sifri
President and CEO
Mr. Sifri has extensive experience in information technology and telecommunications, having founded and led
several companies in these fields, including: CTI Datacom (Chair and CEO), an International communication
network services firm; SIC partnership (Managing Partner), an investment management partnership; and Applications
Technologies Inc. (Chair and President), a McLean Virginia natural language processing software corporation
which was sold in 1998 to Lernout & Hauspie (L&H). He also founded and continues to serve on the
board of Polymore Circuit Technologies, a Tennessee-based innovative circuit board manufacturing company.
Mr. Sifri also serves on the board of the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA). He is also an active
angel investor with considerable experience and relationships in the information technology arena. Majed
holds an MBA degree in Finance from George Washington University and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the
Washington College of Law at American University.
Mihnea (Mike) Moldoveanu
Founder and Chief Technical Officer
Dr. Moldoveanu received mechanical engineering degrees from MIT in 1991 and 1992 and a Doctor of Business
Administration degree from the Harvard Business School in 1997. He has built and managed Redline's core technology
team from the company's founding, articulated the product vision, raised seed and A-round financing and been
in charge of the company's technology portfolio. Previously as founder, President and CEO of Hefaistos, Inc.
of Markham, Ontario, he built and managed the team that created and prototyped the first Canadian Eureka-147-compliant,
OFDM-based digital audio broadcasting (DAB) product and developed a software-centric digital subscriber line
modem for high speed, OFDM-based copper-line communications.
Thomas Hearne
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hearne brings more than 10 years of financial management and advisory experience to Redline Communications.
Prior to joining Redline, Mr. Hearne was CFO for Delano Technology Corporation where he successfully led
Delano to its NASDAQ IPO. Mr. Hearne also held the role of CFO at Open Text Corporation, a publicly held
company, where he was responsible for the company's investor relations, financial management and acquisition
planning. Mr. Hearne has also held the roles of VP of Finance at Algorithmics Inc. and European Controller
at Alias Research Inc. Mr. Hearne holds an MBA from York University, a Bachelor of Economics from Trent University
and earned the professional certification of Chartered Accountant.
Rene Arvin
Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Rene Arvin is responsible for driving Redline's sales growth in its existing markets and to increase the adoption of Redline's WiMAX and proprietary broadband wireless infrastructure products around the world.Mr. Arvin joined Redline from Blue Coat Systems, where he was Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Arvin has more than 18 years of experience intelecommunications and technology, and a proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets for growing and established companies. Mr. Arvin has held senior worldwide and regional sales and operational roles with major technology and telecommunications equipment and software companies including Packeteer Inc., Congress Communications plc, Alcatel, Xylan Inc. and SynOptics. Mr. Arvin graduated from Indiana University School of Business in 1983.
Kevin Suitor
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development Kevin Suitor, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Redline Communications, is responsible for identifying key partnerships and building market awareness globally. Mr. Suitor is widely recognized for his expertise in the telecommunications industry and is Redline's primary WiMAX Forum delegate. Prior to joining Redline in 2001, Mr. Suitor held progressively senior level positions in several organizations, most recently within CopperCom's Market Development Group. Earlier, Mr. Suitor built a solid track record at the executive level in a variety of roles with organizations such as CTI Datacom, Tekelec, DCI Digital Communication Inc. and Wandel & Goltermann. His extensive market and technology knowledge relating to service providers and equipment manufacturers has helped him author numerous articles in several industry publications. Mr. Suitor is also a regular speaker on topics such as broadband fixed wireless, 802.16, WiMAX, softswitches, VoIP, ATM, gigabit Ethernet, and virtual private networks.
Keith Doucet Vice President, Customer Advocacy
Mr. Doucet brings over 20 years of management, marketing and engineering experience in the telecommunications and technology industries. He previously served as Vice President of Marketing for Vyyo, a supplier of broadband fixed wireless access systems located in Cupertino, Calif. He has also held senior product management positions within Newbridge Networks and Alcatel, where he was involved in the pioneering of local multipoint distribution systems (LMDS), and served as Chief Engineer and Senior Program Manager for Lockheed Martin. During his tenure as a research engineer, he conducted extensive studies into and received patents on processing algorithms to address multipath anomalies associated with radar systems. Mr. Doucet holds a Masters of Engineering degree from Carleton University and an Engineering Degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He has chaired and co-chaired several committees chartered with establishing policies and standards for the deployment and use of fixed wireless access systems, including the IEEE 802.16 committee and Radio Advisory Board of Canada.
David Mentzer Vice President, Operations
Mr. Mentzer brings to Redline more than 20 years of manufacturing operations experience. Prior to joining
Redline, Mr. Mentzer was Vice President Operations for ViaGate Technologies, where he successfully built
the operations organization for this start-up company. He was also the Director of OEM Manufacturing for
Compaq and held various manufacturing management positions for DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) in the
US, Mexico and Europe. At DEC, he was responsible for all manufacturing activities in support of its $400-million
OEM business. Mr. Mentzer holds an MBA from Syracuse University and Bachelors in Engineering from the Pennsylvania
State University.
Jim Dickerman Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Dickerman enters Redline with an impressive background in broadband wireless and telecom technologies,
including experience in bringing new products to market. Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President
of Engineering at CoWave Networks. He has also held senior management positions at Zhone Technologies, InnoWave
Broadband Inc. (formerly WinNet), Digital Link Corp and Amdahl Corp., among others.
