Redline’s new AN-80i broadband wireless product delivers unsurpassed speed, performance and value

AN-80i joins Redline’s newly branded RedCONNEX™ family of professional broadband wireless infrastructure solutions for backhaul and access networks

TORONTO, ON – November 7, 2006 - Redline Communications, a leading provider of standards-based broadband wireless equipment, today launched the first release of its AN-80i, the latest addition to its newly-branded RedCONNEX™ family of broadband wireless infrastructure solutions. Delivering unsurpassed speed, performance and value, the AN-80i is designed for a wide range of applications including connecting backhaul and access networks.

The RedCONNEX™ AN-80i is a carrier-class broadband wireless solution that delivers connection speeds of up to 108 Mbps and operates in the license-exempt 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands.  The AN-80i will support voice, video and data services and is designed for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications including high-speed backhaul for video surveillance systems, transportation systems such as railways, connecting oil and gas operations and providing backhaul for WiMAX networks including Redline’s RedMAX™ family of WiMAX Forum Certified™ systems.

RedCONNEX™
To mark the expansion of its award-winning family of broadband wireless infrastructure products, Redline has introduced the RedCONNEX family name, which encompasses the new AN-80i, the AN-50e high speed wireless point-to-point (PTP) and point to multipoint (PMP) Ethernet bridge, the AN-30e carrier-grade TDM backhaul solution for mobility and enterprise network operators.

RedCONNEX AN-80i
Operating in the license-exempt 5 GHz band, the AN-80i leverages proven OFDM technology to deliver industry-leading, high-speed Ethernet throughput. With its exceptional long range capabilities, the AN-80i is able to establish and maintain reliable, robust connectivity that can exceed 80 km (50 miles) in clear line-of-sight conditions.

Redline’s AN-80i is easy and economical to deploy. Available with a wide selection of antennas, the outdoor system includes an audible antenna alignment indicator for quick and simple installation. The indoor Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) injector provides the network Ethernet port and power for the outdoor unit.
